The cool thing about 2001: A Space Odyssey, is that so much of it is abstract, leaving concrete explanation up to the viewer. Its alluring mystery makes for some great art, and though we’ve seen a good amount of posters, each one is totally different and a surprise every time. This latest poster comes from artist Karl Fitzgerald, who gives the film an eerie poster drenched in monochromatic greys and deep blacks. I really love this one, and how Fitzgerald has arranged the film’s iconography in a simple, but atmospheric way.
