It looks like the unbeatable team of Mondo and Martin Ansin have no intention of letting up on their visual assault on our eyes, and it’s fine by me, as I wouldn’t have it any other way. Seeing as he’s my absolute favorite illustrator, every time I post something about Ansin’s work I can’t help but resort to extremely over-the-top, embarrassing hyperbole; this time I’ll let the pieces speak for themselves. Say what you will about the movie’s, but the “Tron look” is undoubtedly one of the most iconic and recognizable design aesthetics in geek culture, and Ansin’s extremely sophisticated style is a perfect fit. The posters will be sold this Thursday (Jan 19), and are both glow-in-the-dark screen prints with a UV varnish, paired at editions of 390 for $90.
