camera_restricta_2Well, maybe boring isn’t the right word, but this new 3D printed camera developed by Philipp Schmitt prevents anyone from taking photos of popular tourist spaces and well documented imagery. The idea behind it is that we take so many photos, that things and places that used to be special are turning mundane.

Using geotagging, this new camera (dubbed Camera Restricta) searches to see how many photos have been taking in any given area, and if that number exceeds a certain limit, the shutter will close. In essence, it’s a tool that forces you to take interesting photos and find things others haven’t before.
