lets_be_evil_posterIt’s impossible to talk about this trailer without seeing how it mirrors the current Pokemon Go craze. The more augmented reality begins to blend with our everyday lives, the more we’ll begin to define its singular set of beneficial aspects and scary drawbacks. Let’s Be Evil  focuses on the latter, centering on a group of gifted children taking part in an educational program using augmented reality glasses.

The trailer and poster look slick and visually appealing, but whether the film will really explore the big questions its asking is yet unknown. I like the music and tone of the clip however, which are akin to a tweeny John Carpenter, and we don’t have to wait long to see if the film delivers – it hits theatres and VOD August 5th, 2016. via

Synopsis: In LET’S BE EVIL, three chaperones are hired to supervise an advanced learning program for gifted children, who wear Augmented Reality Glasses to assist in their education. Contained within a secure, underground facility, events quickly spiral out of control.
