Black Dragon Press has teamed with Zentropa for an official print of Lars von Trier’s Dancer in the Dark.

Starring Bjork, the film centers around a poor single mother, struggling from a blinding degenerative condition who only wants to save her son from the same fate. Of course, things aren’t so simple, and complications send the woman down a dark path, even if she remains unfazed by her musical daydreams.

Without mincing words, this is one of the most devastating films I’ve ever seen, and it’s a one and done thing just because I don’t think my heart can handle another viewing. That being said, this poster from Marc Aspinall hits the right notes, a beautiful mixture of understated conflict and resolve.

On sale May 19th from Black Dragon Press.
