It’s been pretty amazing getting to see artist Matt Ferguson’s meteoric rise to fame. It seems like just yesterday he was hard at work creating a prolific portfolio of our favorite films and pop icons. Now, after officially working with giants such as Marvel, he’s bringing his first solo show to NYC’s Bottleneck Gallery.

Entitled Distant Lands, the show is a series of landscapes from famous films and the characters that inhabit them. 10 original screen prints have been made, and a few APs such as the previously sold out LOTR and Star Wars sets will also be on hand, as well as original sketches to the first 100 people to arrive! Matt’s got a truly stacked lineup going on here!

A preview sale will happen tomorrow, March 26th, with opening reception Friday, March 27th from 7-10PM. Matt will be in attendance all the way from across the pond, so if you’re in the area, don’t miss out – if you can’t make it however, remains will be on sale at Bottleneck Gallery’s website at 12pm EST.

Below are all the new pieces; everything is a small edition of 50 for $35, and The Hobbit piece is a timed edition which will be on sale until Sunday, March 29 at 11:59pm EST. Lastly, profits from the Spock piece will be donated to the COPD Foundation, a organization that helps with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.  via
