This weekend, SF’s Spoke Art is closing their Kubrick Exhibit with a special 35mm double feature of Dr. Strangelove and The Shining at the Roxie Theatre. These are obviously two films that need to be seen on the big screen through projection, and as the medium becomes more rare, so do chances to see these films the way they were intended. As if you needed that extra push, the gallery will have variant editions of Tracie Ching’s Dr. Strangelove (now with metallics!) and Brandon Schaefer’s Shining posters – both previously sold out. These new editions have been created in small runs, so you can bet they won’t last long.

It all goes down Sunday, September 28th at 7pm. Hit the Roxie for tickets and type SPOKE10 for a discounted price! Any remaining prints will be available at the Spoke Art Store early next week.
