These ceramic sculptures from Maria Rubinke are something else. Taking cherubic forms that we usually associate with joy and innocence, she’s twisted them into something more terrifying and grotesque. There’s a perverted kind of beauty with each white, minimal form, tainted by red, all exploring the dichotomy between desire and sadism.
