Guillermo del Toro’s beautiful The Shape of Water is crushing theatres and Awards Buzz right now.  To celebrate, Little White Lies and Luis Azevedo are looking at how the auteur uses objects and contraptions to tell his stories.

The thing about del Toro, is, that he wears his themes and heart on his sleeves, each time dissecting the nature of time, our pursuit of legacy and the melancholy that forces us to look outside of ourselves.
