I could never pass up a chance to buzz about The Invitation or WBYK, so this post is like killing two birds with one stone. Director Karyn Kusama’s latest is truly one of the year’s best, a masterpiece of psychological violence and nuance that only gets better each viewing. Ausie artist duo WBYK have created a piece that is fitting for it, one with Shakespearean overtones and a sense of foreboding mystery. I love that this piece can say so much about the film without being to on-the-nose, but then again, I’d expect no less from WBYK.
