This is a pretty amazing featurette on the sound design of Drive. Supervising sound editor Lon Bender lays down some of the ideas and concepts behind the film’s iconic scenes to explain how they contributed to the character’s amazing and impressionistic depth. I remember actually being impressed by the sound design the first time I saw the film, as it really knew how to remain restrained and totally under the radar, despite being one of the most important aspects of the production.
