Like many of you, the original Tron ripped open my consciousness and imagination when I was just a wee kid. There simply was and still isn’t anything like the bright, neon world of programs and users anywhere, and even though Tron: Legacy was flawed narratively, it was a staggeringly gorgeous film aesthetically. Disney’s new show Tron: Uprising takes us back into Joseph Kosinski’s grid, showing us more backstory to Clu and his villainous dictatorship. I haven’t got to watch this episode yet, but I love the animation style and design, which fuses Legacy’s aesthetic with a hint of Peter Chung, so have a look if you’re so inclined. The show hits Disney XD June 7th, and i’ll be tuning in- I can never get too much of this world. via
