beyond_fest_2016There’s a reason why Beyond Fest has grown exponentially in the few years of its existence. This fest is here FOR YOU, the hardcore, Los Angeles film community who can’t get enough of the sick, the twisted, and the bizarre. This is the only festival that truly has your backs, and that vibe carries over into the buzz at each screening, where you can run into a group of familiars each night who feel like family. Beyond Fest does whatever the hell it wants, and it’s this freedom that trickles into the ballsy, unhinged programming.

As usual, this year’s lineup is fully stacked. To get a taste, the repertory screenings this time out feature a 70mm screening of 2001: A Space Odyssey with guests Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood, Big Trouble in Little China in 35mm with Kurt Russell and James Gunn, and The Beyond with a live score from Fabio Frizzi. We’re also getting premieres of Iko Uwais’ latest, Headshot, The Girl with all the Gifts, Phantasm Ravager (with Don Coscarelli), Ti West’s In a Valley of Violence, Ana Lily Amapour’s The Bad Batch and more! As if that weren’t enough, there’s even a secret screening…

Get ready friends, this is going to be a wild one.
